Benefits of Laser Therapy

Low-level Laser Therapy (also known as ‘Cold Laser Therapy’) stimulates tissue repair up to 4cm below the skin. Focused red and infrared light increases the production of energy at the cellular level thereby promoting regeneration, production of collagen for tissue repair, and vascular dilation and synthesis for better circulation.

Laser therapy also helps in providing pain management as the light encourages the body’s production of natural pain-relievers. Dr. Ilana uses a Respond Laser with 804nm wavelength of light. This Class 3b laser is an ‘all-purpose laser’ that has been used for over 15 years both as a primary mode of treatment and as a follow-up treatment between regular veterinary exams.
