What I do for the team: Animal Rehabilitation Assistant / Client Services Representative
I am currently an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying Integrative Biology and on the Pre Med Track. I live in San Francisco with my mom, my dad and my sister, who is studying the violin at SF State. I have been working with animals, mostly dogs and cats, since I was 8 years old. My parents never let my sister and I have a dog because of school and traveling, so I started working with Rocket Dog Rescue. I have been with them for 10 years and during my time there I have helped endless amounts of rescue dogs find forever homes and get them to trust people again. I have also volunteered with Paw Fund. I have fostered over 11 dogs during my childhood and can proudly say all of them found forever homes. Working with animals and people has always been a big passion of mine and when I met Dr. Ilana in the summer of 2022 at a Rocket Dog Event, she could see that too, so she hired me to be a clinic assistant. After two years of learning under my team and the Vet Techs, I have learned how to perform treatments and take clients of my own. I work as much as I can during the summer when I am not in school, or on the weekends and during my school breaks. I love being able to watch a patient transform into a completely different dog after just a couple of treatments. It is so refreshing to see our patients come in so happy knowing they are going to feel much better afterwards, and I love helping give that to them. When I'm not busy with school or work, I love lifting and going to the gym. I also enjoy swimming, playing pickle ball or just hanging out with my friends and family. I also house sit dogs and cats during the summer. |
